That's why i am crying out for help. I need a struct diet for a fat person trying to lose a huge amount of weight, yet either turn it into muscle or gain muscle at the same time & a completely new food lifestyle, not pop & all that other good stuff. I Need a way out of this body as i am sooooo miserable. I've been big all my life but i was the skinny kid as a youngin'. Help Me Out /:

Deez, how are you doing today? Have found some inspiration to help you lose the weight? I was about 35 pounds overweight 4 years ago and I have managed to keep the weight off. What worked for me may or may not work for you. Being sick of being sick and tired is definitely a great starting place.

Tell me what you have done so far!

Do these miserable feelings only pertain to your weight or has something else been going on too?

I feel way too stressed. I want to become more independent but feel like I will fail.
I work 5-7 hours a day starting at 5PM each day but Monday (cause It's My Day Off) & I sleep for sooooo long. I'm also quite angry a lot of the time /: I feel as if I have no time to work out & than again it also seems pointless. I'm in a rough and it's tough everyone.

Hi Deez

I was very obese and then I lost a lot of weight.
I can give you suggestions and all, but its too lengthy for a forum and you are free to PM me.
As this is an eating disorder forum, I do not want to get into some of my own details here

You need to go to the gym and set a strict diet plan for yourself. The most important thing that helps you lose weight is calories! Eating less calories than you burn will result in weight loss. Try to find our what your maintenance calories by using online calculator and work from there. Try eating that amount the calculator calculated and see if you lose or gained any weight the next week, if you do, decrease it by 5 - 10% and try for another week. If your weight stays the same, then congrats you've found your calorie maintenance. After that, you decrease the calorie by 20% until you hit a plateau.

When you do hit a plateau, either go to the gym and burn the calories (recommended) or decrease it by another 20% without exercising (not a good choice).

For example:
Your maintenance calories: 3000 kcal
To lose weight, you need to eat about 20% less than your maintenance which is 3000 x 80% which is 2400 calories. DO NOT eat less than 20% of your maintenance or you'll lose weight too fast and that's not good either.

So in conclusion, eat moderately, count your calories if you can and go to the gym to burn off more calories so you could eat more! hope that helps, cheers and good luck! :D

I feel really sorry for your. I completely agree with prololies about the way to lose an extra weight. However, I would recommend you to consult a doctor first. You might have some serious health conditions, which caused an extremely weight gain and you may need some treatment to overcome this. Exercises are good for you, however you should be careful, because some of them can be dangerous for obese people(you can have heart problems e.t.c.). I wish you good luck.

Hi honey,
I'm glad you had the courage to come and seek some sort of help in your situation. The fact that you want to change means that you can. As long as your desire to change is stronger than your desire to remain in your current situation, it's possible to change. Just remember that you can do it! It's really not as difficult as it may seem. I don't know what your situation is now since it's almost a year after you've posted, but regardless of what's happening, just know that it's more important that you take one step at a time. People try to do too much at once, especially when it comes to weight loss, but unless you're in a life-threatening situation, change one thing at a time. Cut out a can of soda per week and start walking a hundred steps more per day. Measure your steps and start picking up some weights or even some heavy books. Turn off the tv, the news, and any negative media. You have to change your mind in order to change your body, so start feeding your mind healthy things!
Instead of thinking about what you need to cut out from your meals, start thinking about what you can add. Even if you want to drink that soda, drink a glass of water first. Before you eat the chips, eat an apple. Dip it in some greek yogurt mixed with peanut butter. Try new foods!
You're right. Enough IS enough. You can do whatever you set your mind to. Change your inner dialogue and your mind, and your body will follow. Good luck to you <3

Hi Deez,
By regular exercise and proper diet you will be able to lose weight. If you don't time for workout then you should walk at least for 15 minutes everyday and by changing your lifestyle you will be able to lose weight.

Hey, why not try adding plant based recipes/foods to your diet and minimalise meat/dairy? Also drink lots of water and try to do 15-30 minutes walking each day. I think 1,700 to 2,000 calories is good enough :)
