As you should be aware now, the debate is over. Like so many other last bastions of free speech, the forum is closing.

Trump had business ventures in Russia and Chuck Norris ran a casino chain. Now Norris is a christian and Trump seems to be pretty much making contradictory statements.
I think blame for this war lies in multiple directions but also have to feel Putin's days may be numbered. He's created too much isolation and apparently many in the military had reservations about his war plan. There's a chance Putin could win the war soon but at a cost of destruction of part of the country. And economic slump.

Been reading various comments on Russian forums. These are mostly back and forth accusations between pro Zelenskiy and pro Putin supporters. Both sides seem to believe each is right.
Artists, actors and cultural celebrities in Russia have denounced the war. This upset many people. However, maybe 50 per cent Russians oppose the war. Others feel it will just create more hate.
They say in every conflict, the truth lies somewhere in the middle. There has indeed been an ongoing civil war in East Ukraine where countless Russians died. It does seem too that Kiev planned a new nuclear capability. Ultimately they want Crimea back. However, Putin has a record of totalitarianism, arresting Jehovas Witnesses and slandering gays and lesbians. Hence the fierce opposition. And the EU, of course, fanned the flames. Russia should have been offered some security treaty to ease tensions but the E.U. didn't budge. So, views in that region are radicalised.

That's because we're all dead David, even you. You are a bot, created by our dictatorship to create an alternative reality... either that or we never were and it was just a dystopian dream we got swept up in, like a collective experience where several lost their minds but can't grasp reality again... what next for them? There is always something else, there just has to be....

Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily merrily merrily merrily
Life is but a dream

I suppose I can join. Will register soon. Last night I spent listening to Ralph Maccio and Pat Morita commenting on the Karate Kid movie.1980s. Pat's now dead and Ralph doing the Cobra Kai series. I always felt though that actors aren't directors. The original Karate Kid was an almost perfect movie and a lot of talent going into it.
