Warning! Quite long testimonial!

Well im in the same boots as all of you lot, i cant help but turn red in many situations, and to be frank its s**t.

But ive been trying all these techniques for a few years, but there not getting rid of the problem but sort of delaying it, im finding all this a fun experiment to find out why we blush and is this why we all seem to belive we could be the key to "Making It" and being this right confident person inside, its weird but if i didnt blush im sure i would be so far in life with a nice girlfriend and a wicked social life, but this has truely scarred parts of my life and it cant happen again, so heres a few to techs try...

Before going to bed where no one is about try to blush, its weird but the more you try to make it happen the more it doesnt, reverse psychology, when you dont want to blush, what do you do??? yep you blush redder than a beacon,..

If your problem is blushing down the pub or a social event try and get some sleep as soon as you get back from work for at least an hour and get down the pub as soon as you wake up, you may look like crap but your face wont turn bright red for while allowing you to get drunk comfortably and forget about it anyway (quick escapes) ive been summoned to pub toilets many times, then quick glares at the mirrors to see my face bright red thinking "how can i get out"

Try and stand alot more than sitting down, i tend to blush alot more whilst sitting down, but whilst standing try keeping active (not dancing about or dramatically moving) but just takes steps back and forth, sometimes works.

Try to leave your house without checking yourself out, without those glances at every reflected object on your way to wherever your going, this leaves your mind feeling puzzled to whether you are red, and because you cant see it, it doesnt tend to make you feel red, this is no garentee but can help mentally for a time, when you see yourself red in a place thats hard to escape (work, school, pub etc), it may as well be like anyone telling you your red,, am i right???

MAGICOOL... right this is a new spray product that basically is an air conditioner in a can , its is meant for facial flushes and overheated/ irritated skin, it wont reduce much redness but makes you feel cool.. question.. is it the red face that really gets you down or is it the overheated face making you feel all distorted and.... well, red??????? i have a reddish face anyway and that really does not bother me, its only when my face turns hot, sore and tight that i feel the redness which makes me feel as if i have a huge sign on my face saying LOOK HOW RED I AM, KEEP LOOKING!! THEN TELL ME HOW RED I LOOK AND GET EVERYONE TO HAVE A STARE AT ME, its seems so ridiculous!!!

DermaBlend.. this is a make-up that is worn to camourflage your skin, you pick your exact skin color and start aplying. i am currently wearing this and may i say its worked well, i got a job behind a bar serving customers all day and being flirtatious with the opposite sex, then when i glance at the mirror and i see a normal face i feel.. normal, sometimes i dont even feel like im blushing, probably because im not worrying about turning red cause i cant. Ive been wearing it for about 3 months and only one girl seems to have noticed, even though when i wear it i notice it alot and feel stupid about but understand its helping me with day2day life, and for that i couldnt care less.

sighs.. ETS, the cost is pocket burning, the effects CAN! be out of hand, or the treatment may not work at all, people can get worse from it would you belive, i am currently deciding on whether to have this, but say i come out worse, even redder i couldnt hack it, but what if it works will my life take a dramatic turn and will i succeed like i know i can.

My last techique but one of my favourites, the all round confidence boost, this may not reduce redness or for that sake reduce the burning but help you deal well with it, try to imagine your the boss, your in control of everything and everyone, your a millionaire with no worrys, you look down at everyone and your not scared, why should you be, your the one everyone wants to be, but you go to work because your bored... not because you need to, you go to school because you want to.. not have to, and you walk down the street tall and proud like keano reeves in the matrix (obvioulsly at the end), if you are red, depressed and look like you feel, people will make a conversation by using this, they dont see it as a problem because they cant feel the heat or the depression your going through, though if your red but making yourself look composed others will see your face as no problem and focus on your confident behaviour..

Im currently set to join the british army and get my much needed self confidence, self motivation and self esteem to an all new high, and then see if the surgery can be avoided.

A few responses to try next time someone asks that f***ing question, the key is to not seem bothered or not seem embarressed about this but try and light some humour in it and take the piss out of yourself, you can still come across confident when your red if you acknoledge that its there and noticed, put people out of there misery and tell em yourself, if a guy was doing a presentation with a scar down his face you wouldnt think he was being paranoid that everyone looks at it but he most likely does, though if he mentions it, your cleared of the question he probably doesnt want asked, allowing you to see him for who he is, not whats on his face.

Q "why are you red?"

A "just had a w**k"
A "thought id attract some attention"
A "cause im hot baby"
A "im red!! well stop right there please"
A "why not, what else is there to do?"
A "well now see how red i go"
A "cause i f***ing am, why are you so pink"

If anyone wants to get in touch [email protected]

I told you it was long!!! hope it goes well and try my techniques, especially the last one

Ive recently been trying a new product FREEDERM which is suprisingly working very well (touch wood), it doesnt say anything about curing blushing, but does note that it is anti-inflammatry which keeps things cool. I admit i had an attact the other day when my face actually looked as though id been hit with a red paintball, but i still had some cover up left so i cleared that little problem. The thing is its reducing the amount of attacts i have, the other day i traveled for 6 1/2 hours by train which is normally a RED situation for me but to my shock i felt like i couldnt :D ive never had that feeling before. Ive only been wearing it about a week now and had only one attact as i say above, but can work out and do my running without going beetroot...

Its well worth a shot, it costs about £10, and dont worry if it doesnt work straight away, it has to get into your paws firstly. Check the details at the website below....................

Hey everyone. Ive had problems with blushing like everyone else here, though Ive seemed to go into chronic states of flushes where Im just red for long periods of time, long after I have blushed. Anyway found this on the web the other day and was wondering if anyone has tried it. Thinking about giving it a shot. http://www.eredicane.com If anyone has heard of this please let me know, I am very curious if it works or not. One more thing, I have tried dermablend too, but it really looks like Im wearing make up, how do you make it look more natural. Im scrambling for ideas here, Im applying to grad schools soon and I know what grad work will entail....presentations....and a lot of em

I dont think ive ever watched myself go red, it just kinda happens when im without a mirror to look at. This makes me think, is it us being worried how we think we might look to other people. I always feel the twinge of blush on my face which maybe leads to me assuming im red raw already, ive been trying hard to put my mind back to situations whilst standing watching myself. Ive done this on various examples like waiting in a queue or talking to someone, then i set myself tasks of trying these out and my word it works. I used to blush badly in queues, now im not, i used to blush when chatting to someone, thats getting better, its how you put yourself across. I know you've propbly heard this all before but give it a go.

For those who use alcohol to get rid of there worries are just delaying the course, alcohol will always effect the redness of your face whether or not your pissed or tipsy.

its hard getting it to blend in well but using moisturisor after applying used to help a bit, its better used on nights out when it isnt that light outside or in a darker enviroment...
