Admin question re username

Postby moonlightress » Tue Sep 11, 2018 3:54 pm

Hi
I'd like to know if there's any way my username can be changed? I'm not permitted to do it myself, it seems.

I'm in a discussion with someone in the hypnosis forum and I'm becoming more and more open about my problems. I'd like to continue this discussion because it is a very interesting discussion, and I'm learning a lot from it.

But I use my current username in many other places on the Net and I am beginning to feel too exposed to search engines and the like, so I'd like to change my username to something different.

Is this possible?

TIA

You have enough runs on the board to send a PM to any of the moderators on the forum. They're the ones with 'moderator' badges under their names on the right of the post proforma. Cooler comes to mind as an approachable member who's here quite often.

memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=39163

... and I'm sure he'll thank me for this... :?

Sorry to ask again, but I'm having difficulty with my PM to Cooler not leaving my outbox? I click on Submit and get the message that it's been sent, but it remains in my outbox. I've tried composing a new and the same thing happens. I've been able to PM another member without problems.
What could the problem be?
How do I find a list of moderators, or can you tell me of someone else I could try to PM?
Thanks for any help. :)

What it means is that the recipient did not pick up the message.

Thank you quietvoice. :)
Do you have any suggestion as to who i can contact, then? If Cooler isn't answering? I can't find a list of mods.

Try Pookie, he's been around lately, too. There isn't a list of mods.

Thing is, you can't make someone reply or even read their PMs. I get alerts to my email when someone PMs me, but not everyone does.

I do too. I'm surprised. Seems hard to contact a mod or admin person?

Of course, I can't possibly know why admin/mods are not getting back with you. However, it is clearly stated in the Forum Rules:

Selecting a username: When selecting a username remember that the forum is public. If you wish to post anonymously select a username that will not be known to others. Usernames once chosen cannot be changed.

Ah, ok. I did look there, but hadn't spotted that.
Oh well, that's how it is then. :?

Thanks. :)
