Sentbox and Outbox?

Postby cyman1964uk » Fri Jun 08, 2012 3:58 pm

OK, mad question. I've been a member here for years and still don't understand - what's the difference between messages that are in your Sentbox and those in your Outbox? I know what Outbox and Sent Items mean in Outlook, but what do these terms mean here in this forum?

Also, if Outbox items (or even Sentbox, for that matter) mean that they haven't actually been sent/received by the intended recipient, then how do I make them go?

Sorry I couldn't find a more sensible place to post this.

Cheers,
Simon.

When you write a PM to another member, it stays in your OUTBOX until the other member checks their INBOX. When they have read the message, the message is moved to your SENTBOX.

So if you see a message you wrote still in your OUTBOX, it means that the person you wrote to has not yet read the message - but they can do so whenever they like, you don't have to do anything.

Also you can edit or delete messages in your outbox, but once it's gone... it's gone.
