and then you were thinking you might be sent somewhere else, and that wasn't fair, and you really wanted to be near your mother, but you were scared of your father.

and then the Universe listened to your desires, and your father died, and you got moved to Istanbul while still keeping your job, and that was supposed to fix everything for you

BUT what you really wanted and still want is a girlfriend. So there you are in Istanbul, with your father off the scene, with the choice to live with your mother if you want to, with the job that keeps you independent

and I'm wondering what you've done about finding a girlfriend. It's time you started looking, because when you find one who's age-appropriate she'll be starting to think her eggs might run out soon and it's time she had a baby or two.

Deserate, the woman you're looking for is in Istanbul, and it isn't your mother. She's right there, waiting for you, looking for you, hoping for you. So it's time you went looking for her.

Talk to her. Listen to her. Give her a cuddle. Maybe a kiss. Play your favourite music to her, and ask her what kind of music she likes.

IOW, treat her like a human being. She'll do the rest.

Don't even think about that. Just practise being friendly, talking about work to start with, then trying to figure out what other interests she has. You're not asking her to marry you, you're just getting to know her.
