I think it would widen Tokeless's horizons to get a recognised and unbiased history book and read about the history of Israel and Egypt. Written by real archeologists and historians. Understand how we got our religious base from the Sumerian and then semitic civilizations. I suspect Tokeless is basing his views on far more recent history applied to Israel as a subject nation of imperial powers. This fails to address the far deeper cultural roots of the Jewish people which you can even read in Egyptian writings. Israel was once a quite powerful empire that traded with all its neighbours.

Well, I could do that but it wouldn't change what is happening now, so yes, I am looking at recent history. The old world, to use that term was inhabited by many civilisations and conflicts were also many. However, it can't be used to rationalise and explain what is happening today as though history allows for this. All empires fall David.

Sure it can. Part of the resentment towards Israel is based on the idea it doesn't exist. Most internet sources refer to the territory as Palestine but the Romans never used such a term. There never was a Palestinian race that occupied the territory. The indigenous people were Jews and they were driven out. Those who migrated to the same territories in later periods were often muslim immigrants from multiple countries. Therefore, there is no comparison to South Africa or India. Jews want to live in Israel or at least some do.

Seems as if public anger has now shifted to Lukashenko. Grounding a European aircraft borders on risk of some military response.
