Extreme Physical PAWS! (All Symptoms)

Postby mendinsta » Sat Nov 06, 2021 4:26 pm

I'm so glad that i found this forum!
Maybe my story will help somebody, just like your storys helped me! Thank you.

I'm 24 years old
~180cm, ~73Kg athletic (before withdrawal) now 60Kg!
I've smoked weed for about 6-7 years, the last 3-4 years 24/7.
About 6 months ago i started to loose the ability to get high, so i started smoking up to 5 grams in 24-48 hours, and still couldnt get a real high!
At the end i was frustated and decided i needed to quit.
(Ive quit cigarettes & high % alcohol in january, no paws, just little nervous.)

LET THE WITHDRAWAL BEGIN!

My weed withdrawal started in early September (two months ago).

The first few days:

alot of energy/motivation, nervous, anger, sweaty hands & feets, easy.

First 2-3 Weeks: (horror begins)

extrem diarrhea, extreme weight loss (10kg!), extreme nightsweats (changing clothing up to 6x times a night), blurry vision, emotions up and down, saw weird lines/colors in my vision, everytime i ate something i would get anxious & extreme high blood pressure (150/110), random brainzaps, like a lightning in my head, i developed health anxiety, dozens of vivid/brutal dreams a night, waking up every 3 hours and falling back asleep, feeling tired after 12+ hours of sleep, no libido.
Everything felt weird, my body and my surroundings.
I couldnt talk, i felt mentally retarded while having conversations, no concentration, intrusive negative thoughts about death, health & life in general. extreme heart palpitations.

3-6 weeks:

lost another 3-4 kg (~59kg)
random bodypains started to occur, first my arms, then my neck, my back, especially lower back, sometimes legs. tingly sensation on my face, headaches, swollen lymph nodes.
No diarrhea but weird bowel movements, reflux, smelly breath, dry eyes, sometimes really emotional, sometimes just feeling dead, extreme fatique & tiredness. Blood pressure still higher than normal (140/90)
health anxiety 24/7, ear whooshing, feeling like something is in my ear, tinnitus, sinuses popping, googling every symptom, extrem fear of cancer & other diseases.
Found this forum (helped a lot)

6-8 weeks

Weight still around ~60kgs, not able to gain back even to i'm eating more than before! New belly pain & zaps, especially right lower side & lower abdomen, weird movement/feeling & sound in my colon, fear of parasites/cancer, weird yellow chalky stool, smelly gas / farts , sometimes no bowel movement for 2-3 days, sometimes 2-3 bowel movement a day! Sometimes yellow stool, sometimes brown, sometimes both! (half of it yellowish half of it darker brown) never seen something like this!
maybe irritable bowel syndrome
still fatiqued & tired, but now in waves not 24/7.
Vivid dreams, but not as many & not as brutal & dark. Better sleep (not waking up every 3 hours)
still ear whooshing & popping
still random bodypains & lower backpain.
Now LOW blood pressure (110/70) sometimes even (100/60). Still some night sweats & sometimes diarrhea.

Health Checks in a course of 2 months:
I went 6 times to the hospital!
4-5 times to my personal doctor!
And once to a gastrologist, once to a otolaryngologist, once to a dermatologist & to a radiologist!

I have done about 40(!) ampoules of blood works/tests, 3(!) urinalysis, a gastroscopy (without narcosis!), head MRI test, skin excision "surgery", electrocardiogram (ecg/ekg), two ultrasound scans of organs & lymph nodes, endoscopy of my nose/throat and x-ray of my lungs.

Nothing found, only helicobacter pylori in my stomach. And normal cyst in my brain, maybe since childhood.
But nothing that causes these type of symptoms & nothing risky.

Now i'm doing a poo test for parasites & a coloscopy! (last test, im tired)

I'm gonna give an update in a few weeks!

Cheers.

100% you’re a hypochondriac based on all those ridiculous “tests”. Some things cannot be helped.

I dont think hes a hypochondriac.
Hes just discovered PAWs. This test work appears all prior.
Many people report the feeling they are dying. It gets that intense and disabling. Hypocondriacs imagine symptoms. This isnt imagining or overdoing it as the symptoms do vary for everyone.
I admit I went to hospital. I was and still am swaying everywhere, brain felt like it was going to explode, vision so blurry I coudnt see much and could barely talk. Only something serious does that according to my GP and best to be safe then sorry.

Hang in there mendinsta. Give it time.

Hey Blinkers thank you
I was never like this, i'm tired of doing these tests, but i just cant understand the huge weight loss! All the doctors seemed worried too. I've seen all the other symptoms in other posts, but not weight loss, especially not this much. I just hope its all paws & nothing serious. Thanks for your reply, wish you the best!

Weight loss and lack of appetite is one of the most common symptoms. Or weight gain. You haven’t read or researched enough.

Hey, biohack9
Losing weight together with LESS appetite is logical, ive read that. But ive found only one post from a guy, 10 years ago, that said, he has lost weight while eating MORE, but he never did an update on that, so i'm a little worried. But if theres posts from people losing weight WHILE eating enough, and i havent seen them, then i'm happy about it! I would apreciate your reply on that too. Thank you:)

It’s absolutely impossible to lose weight by in taking more energy (calories). If you want to gain weight (fat) easy it’s super easy - drink lots of milkshakes ice cream juice pop whatever and you’ll pack on fat weight. Do you lift weights? Keep in mind the gut micro biome changes as do hormones with thc and cessation will also cause disruption. Feel free to ask more questions happy to answer

You are not a hypochondriac. You are experiencing paws. I’m having all of the same symptoms. When you put that you get high blood pressure after eating a big meal my mouth dropped. I get the same thing along with all the other crap you listed.
How are you now?

I think its important to realize that you have a correlation between quitting and all these symptoms. I know some people that are a year in and still struggling tremendously. I am 10 months in and still suffer from a lot of physical symptoms. The beginning was a nightmare. I constantly thought I was dying. A headache was a brain tumor and stomach or intestinal pain was colon cancer. I fell into a rabbit hole of googling symptoms and coming to my own conclusions. The testing is fine to do but I wouldn't rule out having massive health anxiety. Something that I have been doing that helps me is listening to manifestation chants for health. It helps me remember that my mind is a tricky bastard and can make me think I have issues due to fixating on them. As time as gone on for me I realize I have always had these little aches and pains but was fixating on them because I did not have weed to numb my mind. Now I am working on focusing on being okay with my ailments and focusing on becoming healthier. Your mind is a tricky a**hole and you need to retrain it. I lost 20 lbs. in about 3 weeks after stopping. Then I eventually gained it all back. If you feel the tests are beneficial then by all means do them. However, I would look into a psychologist to help you with your mind. Testing your physical body can only do so much if your mind is broken. You got this man!

Hey Longduck! I was wondering how you’ve been. Excellent post with great insight. The manifestation chants for health sound like something I would like. I looked on YouTube and found a few, but would you happen to be able to post a link to your favorite(s)? You seem to be doing so much better now than when you first posted here and I’m so happy for you!

I am doing a bit better. Had a bad wave in October that lasted to mid November. Been feeling a lot better. I get some knarly headaches that make me nauseas but I have recently found out I have TMJ. Anxiety is getting a lot better but I still have issues in public places. I notice when my anxiety hits my symptom increase to the point that I now see that they are related. The other day I had a good day. No physical symptoms and no anxiety. Went to Costco at night and had a wave of anxiety hit me. Started feeling weak and stomach was turning and feeling kinda dizzy. Got home and within an hour it went away. PAWS is a bitch man. This is the chant I like to listen to. It's not just about listening but you really gotta feed into it and believe it yourself. https://youtu.be/w4Mdjubef0s. I know I am not out of the woods and have a journey but this month has helped me really see some light at the end of the tunnel. I am starting to believe that in many cases of PAWS it is a mental game that brings on physics symptoms which in turnal creates a never ending cycle of feeling horrible physically and mentally.

@Longduck- thanks for the link. I will definitely use the video. I get it with respect to what happened when you went to Costco. That happens to me in certain places now. Sometimes it seems like a sensory overload for me- lights, noises, lots of people, smells in the store, then traffic on the way there and home. Just too much all at once. I always feel better after I get home. I’m sure it will get better for both of us eventually as our nervous systems recalibrate and go back to balance.
