Need advice...

What do you guys do when you are frustrated or really angry? I'm wondering you have any tips to suggest. Tips to relax yourself...

I've been frustrated for two consecutive evenings, but they are actually explained, so it's not anger emerging from nothing...

Any tips?

Hi
I am practising these too to help control my anger.

Try taking deep breaths before your anger takes complete control over you, or count to ten.

Meditation really really helps, a lot. You could meditate on the sunrise, or ocean waves, or say a prayer over and over, even for 10 minutes a day, and that would make a difference. Other thoughts may come to mind, just brush them off, and continue to concentrate on the calming thought you have picked for yourself. A half-hour meditation session, with just 2 minutes of for example, prayer, will give you peace of mind.

The best way to deal with anything that makes you angry is to try and figure out what is actually bugging you, either make that a thing of the past and ignore it, or find a solution.

Stand up and think about what makes you feel angry, breath in and tense your body, fists, arms shoulders, face, holding it all very tense, and then sigh letting every thing go, let your shoulders drop and your face and arms relax, open your hands and let what is bothering you go. Do this several times and it should help, if your really tense and angry do it more,..

p.s. you should probably do this when your alone as people might get scared if you did it in public. :wink:

I recommend many ways to help people to relax, one of the best forms of meditation is what is called mirror work. All you simply do is to sit in front of a mirror and look at the reflection. It will seem quite strange initially, but focus on deep breathing from your stomach, within a short while your subconscious starts to mix with your conscious and you will feel totally relaxed, try this for 15 minutes to start with and if you find benefits from it try to work up to one hour twice a week.
