So all we need to do is find a hypnotist who claims that and isn't an arrogant idiot?

That ought to be easy. There are enough kind and clueless hypnotists out there.

To clear things up I was a disbeliever, complete newbie and a skeptic about this until one week ago.

I USED ONLY FREE RESOURCES AVAILABLE FOR EVERYONE TO READ

DAY ONE: Study day. Going through all the materials out there to get a basic perspective.
This includes NLP (the whole package like eye movement and testing suggestibility techniques) Mindcontrol, subliminal messaging
and I could go on.

DAY TWO: Even more study and stumbling apon this website. (whoohoo! xD )

DAY THREE: Advancing through the more 'delicate induction' stuff and here comes the good part;

After work I decided to go to a local coffee shop and there I met a friend whom I haven't seen for a while, and I decided to have a drink with him.
I'm from the Netherlands by the way.

Now after three days I'm feeling so confident about doing induction that I decided to try it out for a spin.

And It Worked!

I first started a nice conversation with him about his interests, mirroring him, and let him answer a whole load of questions with positive embedded commands.

I told him (in Dutch): Hey man I learned this neat trick, your gonna love it. I did it with a couple of friends and they found it really interesting. (or something like that)

He replied with: what is it then?

It's a relaxation technique to quickly relieve stress and go to a serene state of mind for a short period,. (he was stressed a bit I noticed) witch is completely safe and fun to do by the way, ok? 'yes'

Ok come over here and sit here: (we change seats and move to a different table)

(as i grab his hand with interruption and then gently rock his whole arm from side to side) I want you to relax and take a deep breath. (he instantly mirrors my suggestion as his whole body changed!).
As you breathe in and out you feel more and more relaxed.
Breath in........ and out.(repeating that and slowing my speech and at the same time slowing the movement of his arm.
i almost stopped moving i switched to his other arm and repeated the sequence once more)

then I used a combination of the instant hand induction and the steel bar arm technique to put him to sleep and fixate his arm at the same time. Effectively too.

only thing is i said you want to hold this arm and hand here instead of your arm stays here and forgot to actually mention the steel bar welded to shoulder thing. First time eh?

another is I forgot to keep talking and touching him on the shoulder or whatever to keep him there, so he snapped out of it after 7 or 9 seconds. He looked drunk and he din't want to put his arm in a different position.
He could however move his arm though.
He just moved it back with a stubborn reply like no i want to keep my arm over here haha.

Then I realized he was still under my suggestion and snapped him out of it before he even noticed.

after that i did it to a different friend with same results, struggled to keep him in the state of mind.

DAY FOUR:

After re-reading all the juicy stuff i managed to create a dynamic routine witch as it states creates a ability to seize the moment in whatever way is needed.

After work i decided to do it again. With succes.

I met with a guy I know and i know he looks up to me so i knew he would be a good target.

I sat down with him talked a bit and noticed that he was extremely happy to see me. I told him a bit or two how to control classic "break-up" feelings witch worked great for him.
(I dont know why but it never works on my self, I just can't fool myself on that one.)

So he was happy to see me, and as I wanted to make advantage of that positive feeling, I told him, I know a little trick, it's really fun. Want to know more? "yes" he replied.

Ok, so basicly, i can make your cigarette there taste like strawberries, a few friends of mine where amazed on how funny that is.

"Wow! Really?? Let's do that!" I replied with; You want to do this, yes?, "YES!!" He said very motivated.

Ok let's go over here then.. to the same place with the other guy and somewhat the same routine with the arm swing and relaxation.

But this time i was more ambiguous and put him to sleep with just a couple of waves in front of his eyes (with a slowing but steady pace) and wham in front of his eyes "SLEEP"

And off he went....

I grabbed his shoulders and rocked him about while describing that and linking that to more relaxation and a deeper trance.

Once he was completely loose I said: listen, now the cigarette i give you will taste strawberries, and as you completely relaxed you will find that the cigarette will taste like strawberries.
Once you wake up and smoke that cigarette you will taste the intense sweetness of those lovely tasting strawberries.
When I clap my hands you will wake up and that cigarette will taste sweet like strawberries. (forgot to mention a break for the suggestion strawberries... woops!!)

*CLAP*

Are you still with me? "yeah... uh oh ehhhh yeah im here...." great man, i have a nice cigarette here, take it. "uh ok" (clearly still a bit sleepy)

He smokes the cigarette and his look on his face is a bit confused.

I asked: now what does the cigarette tastes like? "it tastes sweet!" he replied.

How is it possible, you think? I ask. "I don't know? I'm confused... what kind of cigarette is this?" A regular Marlboro I said. "Now i'm even more confused."

I tapped him and went back to normal... And he was AMAZED and STUNNED for about 10 minutes how this was possible, because the cigarette tasted normal and bitter again.

He wanted to know more tricks. So i put him to sleep again with a few gentle pushes to his shoulder while saying "Relax, relax, relax" and with a few waves infront of his eyes with my other hand and then WHAM back to sleep.

The relax and deepener again... and then i glued his hand to the table with the known technique.

It worked amazingly and the guy was completely amazed. So was I but i was hiding it.

After a minute or so talking with him how its possible and trying to "help" him getting it off, I tapped him and back to normal.

He found it extremely odd and stared at his hands for about 10 minutes after that.. He was smiling non stop after that.

Then I decided to leave and he needed to go too. so we stood up. I shook his hand with a interrupt again and WHAM with one wave infront of his eyes he was asleep again.

He was as loose as a ragdoll. But I woke him up again after that as he needed to take the bus. Then i shook him up a bit a told him, your energetic, happy, and wide awake now, ok? And so he was and we left.

After that I hypnotized another friend with great succes. I fixed his arm teadily in the air, as i told him we were gonna do a focusing exercise.

Total of 5 persons hypnotized now.

Please, can I have your opinions?

Thanks,

Well done. You clearly have the ability to think on your feet and learn from your own experience. Flexibility is key.

Figure out where you plan to go next and go there. Ensure your routines, even what you have done so far has multiple phases.

Practice random acts of kindness once a day. More will do no harm :)

Thanks for your reply Anthony.

Yes, I need to ensure my routines further to perfect it. I'm also learning some additional shock techniques like the Hand Push method. (witch I tried out on 1 friend and worked amazingly)

Flexibility is exactly what I want and is what I will get.

How do you mean random acts of kindness? As in showing people tricks?

Thanks,

J.

Your openers are already suggesting random acts of kindness. Doing good things with it as you have your fun.

I am going to share a technique of how to hypnotize people. It is very short, very easy, and very powerful. It is totally interactive with the subject.

I always preface every induction with this statement:

If at any time, or for any reason, you find that you are not comfortable when being in trance, simply say the word "Exit" out loud and you will immediately be made to feel comfortable and will taken out of trance.

That being said...

First, let the subject know that hypnosis is all about desire, permission, and being able to follow instructions. If they want to be hypnotized, and they allow it to happen, and do what you say, they can be.

Next, let them know that there is nothing that they need to do to help you. They can't make it happen, but they can notice it when it does.

Let them know that trance is when the body "automatically reacts" to suggestion. Its kind of like goose bumps. You can't make them happen, but you can notice them when they do.

Finally, you say: (this is what you would consider the "script")

"in a moment, I will be saying the names of some colors. I won't let you know what colors I am going to say, but when I say the first color, you will notice a nice warm glow in your chest. It will be very soothing and will feel very good. Let me know when you feel this, and we will move on.

Is this ok with you? (I added this since the original posting..permission established, goes right by the watchdog)

Are you ready? (this is important to say)

(then say a color and snap your fingers and then wait for them to tell you they feel it.)

(When they do..say) Feels good doesn't it.

Are we ready to move on?

Okay, when I say the next color, you will notice this warm glow will spread all over your body, relaxing you very much and feeling absolutely wonderful. You will notice that your eyelids have become very heavy. It is up to you if you close them or not, but will find it is much easier to relax if you do. When you feel this, let me know and we will proceed.

Is that ok with you? Good.

Are you ready?

(then say a color and snap your fingers and then wait for them to tell you they feel it or you see them struggling with their eyes)

(When they do..say) Are we ready to move on?

Good.

When I say the next color, you will notice your eye lids are so relaxed that they will no longer open. When you are sure they are that relaxed, I want you to try to open them, and give them a good try. You will notice that the harder you try to open them, the more firmly they remain closed.

Is that ok with you? Good.

Are you ready?

(then say a color and snap your fingers and then wait for them to test their eyes)

(When you see them trying to open them, tell them...) Thats good, now stop trying and feel yourself drifting deeper into trance. Notice how good that feels.

That's it.

They are now fairly deep in trance and ready for you to apply suggestions or deepen further.

The interaction with the subject during the induction, as well as having them tell you when they feel it and when to proceed, should eliminate any hesitancy or confidence issues on your part.

You don't have to cross your fingers and hope that what you are doing is working. You get continuous feedback from the only one who knows if it is working or not.

Realize, that suggestions like "sleep", and "relax", are just that. Suggestions. Suggestions that the body (reactive mind) knows how to automatically react to. They aren't required, but they are easily understood.

With this method, I usually have someone in trance in less than 30 seconds. Without manhandling them, surprising them, confusing them, yelling at them, or even touching them. It works also extremely well with analytical subjects. (You can tell them they can watch as their body reacts..LOL).

If you get someone who does not respond to your suggestions, it is because for some reason they are not following your instructions.

You will find that this does it very well, and very quickly. Check it out ;)

Did an 8 word induction on a friends wife and bam she went in under quick lol.
It felt great!

Tried again with an ex-gf's sister and it didn't work but she already said she was scared of being hypnotized.
I figured out what I did wrong already, I did not do a pretalk lol.

I'll get her next time.

Maybe try some covert hypnosis.
Any tips on this Ant, and other experienced guys.

Thanks

Hi guys I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I will.
I don't have much friends to practice my skills and hypnotize sometimes I go out and use something from Manchurian approuch to get in touch with people and put them in .... there are times it works and others it doesn't.
I 'd like to know how do you (all) do to initiate..... or to get people involved .....get more subjects to practice hypnosis ?

Since inductions needs the hypnotee to be concentrating, my question is:
During a shock indution instead of asking the person to concentrate on something how about asking them a couple of quick math questions with their eyes closed, then shock them.

I mean when I'm doing math I'm really concentrating lol

What do you guys think, its for the people who over think things

Also, on a side note.

Can one of you hypno masters, post a video, for us newbs to be better at hypnosis or have more confidence when hypnotizing people, if that possible.
