Chrysalis Counselling Courses

Postby rosie15 » Sun Apr 28, 2013 6:36 pm

I'm in my mid-forties and would like to become a counsellor. Does anyone know if Chrysalis online courses are good enough training to become one? Has anyone experience of going into employment as a counsellor after completing the course?

I've been confused by the different accreditation routes, and thought I would prefer a BACP course but I haven't got one near me, so at the moment Chrysalis is the only practical option but I'm worried that it won't be recognised by anyone or give me adequate training. Thanks for any help.

I was warned off the Chrysalis course for the same reason. Had you thought of doing an online course? Not sure where you are, but if there's no other way, might be better to have a top notch online than a less than ideal in person course. Just my humble opinion...
