Are you overweight? What foods are you binge eating? Do you live alone?

Unaware, nightly binging.

In order for this to occur the brain has to send "stress" signals. We don't always eat because we are hungry. We eat for comfort, of which only one symptom of discomfort is hunger. Eating can temporarily satiate stress.

You could try doing any number of things prior to sleep to relieve any underlying stress. Workout, eat plenty of healthy foods that contain low calories and are rich in fiber, etc. Shut down media well before trying to sleep.

On the food end you could either not buy sweet foods or those foods you binge on or since you don't live alone, you could place those foods in a locked cabinet at night with your partner having the combination.

Obviously not buying sweets or locking them up is a temporary measure while reducing stress is long term.

Pills are the absolute last thing you want to do, but certainly medicating oneself is a popular option.

The problem with medicating is it is a crutch that can become a disability. Pills are intended as a temporary aid, not a solution. The problem is that pills can be very enabling and they don't address the root problem. It is easy to go down that path.

Even worse, if you take a pill and it works then you begin to believe you can take on even more stress. You don't fundamentally change the behaviors that were causing stress in the first place. With the pill you begin to take on more at work, at home, in day to day life. You add stress, because with the pill you believe you can handle it.

If you do decide to take the pill route, make sure it is a temporary aid, no more.

These are just banndaids here but its better that binge eating.

If your athletic by chance try training more in the evening, come home, shower, eat a carb rich healthy meal(carbs are important for serotonin) and go to bed. If you trained jard enough and ate enough carbs youll be out like a light the whole night and wont want anything but sleep.

If you live with others thats great, take your pants off, or sleep naked, that way you have to get dressed or put pants on to go into the kitchen. If your getting up to piss just hold a bath towel arround your waist. Easy enough?

Also add more "micro-nutrients" to your diet: i reccomend one or two fruits you like, and lots of steamed veggies. Even if theyre frozen.

And if i come down to it. Just literally binge eat steamed vegetables, they taste great and its the best thing you could binge eat.

Doing some form of cardio first thinr in the morning would also give you more motive to not fill your gut with things to digest in the middle of the night. Ive had the sedentary lifestyle before, and i can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that achiving an athletic lifestyle is way more satisfying than that sh**.

Hope i helped.
