leaving without another job

If an employee leaves a job without another lined up, does it suggest:

a) their performance is so bad noone wants to hire them
b) they hate their job so much they're prepared to face unemployment
c) other reason?

Without context this is hard to answer but it would suggest that they didn't like the job they were at and were prepared to risk not having one in order to pursue something else.

I'm guessing you are the person who has left a job, Just make sure when you tell a new employer why you have this gap that you are completely honest about your reasons for leaving- a genuine candidate will be more trustworthy and will show more confidence than a shaky not-really-sure-what-to-say one.

Yes, I am leaving soon and not looking for a job as yet. I need time to recover from the trauma I have experienced so I'll be moving back in with the family until I'm ready to start freelance.

Ever since I took time off due to stress, my team I have been the victim of harassment and been bad office politics. The environment become too toxic to tolerate. I also want to be closer to my family.

Defends if the job hes leaving is good or not so good. If its good than its a), if its bad (the job) then its b). Its very subjective tho.
