Weight/fat gain

I read about so many people losing appetite and weight after quitting. Before I quit I was super lean and muscular and lots of energy to be active and fasting/eating healthy was effortless. Every time I quit I gain 15-20lbs of fat and can’t satiate my appetite and am always hungry and craving food. Even if I eat healthy and try to exercise and intermittent fast I can’t seem to knock the fat down. Last time I quit for 3.5 months, gained 15lbs and as soon as I relapsed I very quickly dropped all the weight and became lean again.

Anyone else gain fat and increased appetite unlike those that lost fat and appetite? I know that lots of changes are going on with hormones like insulin lepton and grehlin but after 4 months I would have thought this would have stabilized. I also know that the insomnia creates a diabetic state and chronic weed users have lower fasting insulin and blood sugar levels.

I want to improve my health, not get fat and diabetic so curious if anyone has recovered from this phenomenon after 6+ months because if after another 6 months of this I’m not back to where I was I’m definitely throwing in the towel because I feel like I’m hurting my health more than helping. Thanks fam.
