This thread is hilarious. There is little, if any, evidence that NLP works. Bandler et al don't appear to be interested in evidence for or against NLP - that implies to me that Bandler et al don't care if NLP actually works or not. I'm sure Bandler is well-meaning, but the stuff he has spouted and p...

My experience suggests that that style of embedded command only works on people interested in NLP.

So when someone claims that their experience is better than science at determining what works or what is effective, do they also keep unambiguous, objective records of all of their hypnotic encounters? I didn't think so.

I don't believe in trance, but I recommend Adam Eason's downloads. They are reasonably priced and IIRC there are samples for free.

It's a very funny and engaging book that's kind of about psychopathy. If you haven't read it then I'd like to recommend it; if you have, then I'd like to hear some thoughts (and if they happen to be placed in the context of this thread, then more the better :) ).

Do you think Daniel Tammet has used mnemonics to memorise the multiples of every two digit number?

Sorry to be off-topic, I was just wondering if the people posting in this thread have read Jon Ronson's Psychopath Test?

Just because I can convince someone to hallucinate that he feels energy around his body doesn't mean that I can heal them. Any good hypnotist can get someone to hallucinate something. That's no proof of paranormality. A good hypnotist can even get you to hallucinate something and then take that as ...

I would like to recommend The Science of Self-Hypnosis by Adam Eason. He's a great hypnotist who reads a lot, and also thinks a lot. http://www.amazon.co.uk/The-Science-Of-Self-Hypnosis-Hypnotise/dp/0957566719/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1390752735&sr=8-1&keywords=adam+eason You can get a fla...

Before you ask for the thing that savants have, it might be useful to understand what savants actually have. Daniel Tammet for example achieves most of his results through straight old fashioned mnemonics. Maybe even all of them. There nothing stopping you learning mnemonics. Really? Mnemonics coul...

Hello Please note: 1) We don't discuss magic methods here. There are other places on the Internet that are far more suited to that. 2) The effect you are discussing is copyrighted by Steve Banachek. He is a lovely and very clever man. Please do the right think and buy the effect. You can get it at P...

Hello Thanks for the questions; I'll give brief answers but feel free to email me to continue off-line if you want more. 1) I guess the answer to the first part is that it depends. If the subjects imagines things automatically then you can just tell them what to imagine. Because AI is interactive, y...
