I cannot stand people.

I've always had a problem relating to others. I'm just not interested in people other than my husband and two kids. I just want to be left alone. Very occasionally I might encounter a person that I can have a friendship with, but it's rare. Lately, I have been struggling even more. I've had a few ru...

Generic Citalopram not working

I've received a different type of citalopram this month and it's not working. I started off with brain shocks and insomnia and now I've become depressed again. I feel horrible. Has anybody experienced drugs not working properly when they've taken certain brands/generics? I know that they're all supp...

Son has sugar addiction

My 13 year old son appears to have a sugar addiction. He craves anything sugary and will steal food that he finds in the house/fridge. I have had to hide stuff in the shed to try and stop this :( He is a bit overweight and not that fit. He was diagnosed with adhd when younger and also has dyspraxia ...

Thank you for the replies. Firstly, I don't do crack! wtf? I personally don't see anything 'wrong' with the way I am, I just figured that because everyone just seems the same as everyone else - ultra social and dependant upon others - that there must be something going on in my mind that's perhaps u...

what do you suppose is wrong with me?

For as long as I can remember I haven't liked people. I feel that I don't 'fit in' and don't share other peoples need to be with others. I can't be bothered with other people and find them very boring and can't relate to what they find interesting. I like my immediate family and care about them. I d...

It's not a case of using substances to 'mask' the symptoms, but as a part of learning how to handle them. I'm 39 now and I've had so much stuff happen in my life that no amount of 'therapy' is going to change my basic personality and responses to things. Learning about the things that can help me to...

I started to have problems with coffee a few years ago. It gave me epic panic attacks, so I cut it out and even the decaf stuff left me feeling sick with abdominal pains. Then, I started getting panic attacks after drinking normal tea, so I had to cut that out as well. I only drink decaf tea now and...

I was on Cipralex for 6 months before I couldn't cope with the side effects anymore and had to stop. It's taken me months to get my memory and functioning back and also to have sexual feelings again. You'll feel better in time. I'm taking 5htp now and it's MUCH better. Do some googling on it. Rhodio...

Thanx for the replies. I don't plan on seeing her anymore - I couldn't handle that. I guess I'll have to talk to the doctor about finding some counselling. I saw a psychologist a few years ago, but didn't find him to be of any help.

Levee, I'll give you a hand if you like  You're a complete pain in the backside. It's an insult to people who really ARE suicidal to go on like this. You make me sick. Please do phone your local hospital transplant co-ordinator and tell them that you're willing to donate every organ in your bo...

I met my husband through a dating site. I was a widow too. I chatted to a few men, but never thought of it as anything other than just fun until I met somebody that I felt I could trust. I guess I was lucky because my husband is an honest person. You have to be discerning and totally cold-hearted if...

Abusive mother - no contact for 8 years.

I was brought up in care following my father's death. My mother has a diagnosed personality disorder and is impossible to deal with, so I stopped seeing her 8 years ago as I couldn't cope with her treatment of me. Unfortunately, the police now need to get a statement from her regarding the abuse tha...
