hello jeff,

I haven't heard of such brief depression before. maybe see your doc.

I would generally look after yourself, i.e. diet, exersise is great.

Also avoid drugs, such as weed and e, they just make things worse and could trigger something more severe.

I personally wouldn't mention it, mainly because you have been fine for 6 months, it could effect you getting the job if you did mention it. I am not sure the legalities though of hiding any past medical issues. Have you only had one episode of depression in your life? Which HR department did you as...

I've been reading a few of your posts, I find them interesting to read, keep it up! I've not read them all, too lazy. you should get a nice thick douvet for winter, personally I sleep a lot better with heating off and keep warm with a douvet, I also think it is more healthy. you remembering your dre...

I have used them and for me they did work to a certain extent but they can cause other problems and did for me. I never had anxiety before I took them, but developed it while on them. I have known a lot of people on them and in my opinion they are not a quick fix. I am a big fan of exersise as a way...

lost love of music when down?

hey,

has anyone lost their love of music when down? Whenever I was down in the past I have allways loved music, both at home and live. But for a while now, I find it hard to get excited like I used to. Not sure why.

scuba, I think you are trivialising things. There are always people who have bigger hurdles, but if you are mentally unwell and unstable none of that matters or registers. Even if you have a perfect life/situation, it won't change the feelings. The 'snap out of it' comments are not helpfull. paul, y...

I think when you got drafted into the army you probably didn't realte to anyone and had no one to communicate with, as you sound sensitive already, I think this may have drove you into a depressed hole, which in your situation would be hard to get out of. you need to get away from the army ASAP and ...
