Anyone else have a period of a couple of weeks where you feel a bit wobbly around the time you were ...

Well they seem to occur to significant events like you mentioned which would suggest why you get depressed but then again not everyone gets properly depressed when things go wrong. How people react differs and if your reaction is causing you more grief than you feel it should then you do need to thi...

What meds have you tried? Have you tried different types of anti depressants (tricyclics, maoi's?), anti convulsants, Lithium, anti psychotics? Be useful to know if you have definately tried everything. The other meds that are not first line treatment, but not necessarily newer treatments, can actua...

How about doing a short OU course...they offer tasters at degree level that you could study over 10 weeks or 5 months and they are very part time, just a few hours a week. It would help with confidence in studying i'm sure.

An addiction is a sign of deeper underlying problems whatever the addiction is, self esteem is poor, so it's not a sign of healthy mental health.

I'm not depressed anymore (although I am always alert to another spell). I've had various therapies but didn't really get anywhere till I started medication (anti convulsants and occasional anti psychotics). I do recommend both therapy and meds tho. Also do question treatment if it doesn't seem righ...
