I took CBT for depression but was also given drugs on the side to help me. It took me a while and I still have moments, but it worked really well.
please do not forget the BEHAVIORAL as well as the SOCIAL aspect of modern CBT. there must be a sense of purpose, growth as well as a sense of belonging.
