Re: getting of the merry-go-ground of multiply quits

Hey everyone, It's my one year anniversary on 1st January. I set out on this trek with you all , wanting so much to really nail the many times I've tried to reach the heart of my addiction and give it up for good. I had some tough reckonings to make with myself to get off the merry-go-round of my mu...

Re: Farewell to weed - just the beginning

Yes I'm preparing my one year update and will post that soon with a review of where I've come from to where I am at now. It's so much better now. Really better. I'll do my best to capture the essence of that in my next post. I'm just re-reading my thread and it is so good to have this record. I have...

Re: Farewell to weed - just the beginning

Yes for sure we give each other strength and yes I always look out for you TonyTheCat. Nothing works better than getting the message to 'keep going' from the folk who do keep going despite the challenges and the hell. It does get better. I am about to come up for my one year anniversary and my life ...

Re: almost 5 months free of weed

hey dennis, Your English is good. yes I felt very very tired in the early days too. I had to learn new ways of self care. I suffered similar to you too in the beginning. Re: almost 5 months free of weed

Hey Dennisg787, I am feeling very very different about my life ten months down the track. I feel different about myself too. I feel closer to whom I want to be. I feel more capable. I feel healthier for sure. I feel grateful and my life feels more purposeful. I feel more in control of my life now- w...

Re: almost 5 months free of weed

Welcome dennis, I'm almost 10 months down this path of being cannabis-free after a long term struggle to live without it. This is what I've come to understand in this time: It's hard to get unhooked from a cannabis life but it's even harder to stay hooked to something you know you really don't want ...

Re: My quit Journal

Even still, my worst days now are better than my best days at the beginning of this. I'd say the more normal I feel the less I think about how horrible I felt, so it's good I'm not traumatized. But in that, I find that sometimes the thought of smoking pops into my head from time to time. It's not s...

Re: Weed is stealing my life and time

Mine is still subsiding now. It happens slowly over time and it depends on what you do. It's a long term process, hard to give it a figure. Mine is really only starting to settle a bit now after 8 months. Its worth it to keep going.

Re: Weed is stealing my life and time

Hey Luisofu Keep going. I had the same kind of symptoms when I first quit too. It's all part of the territory from what I experienced. It will pass even though your mind will try and tell you otherwise. The anxiety and fatigue were big for me in the beginning. Slowly I learnt how to give space to th...

Re: Weed is stealing my life and time

Hey Johnyg7, You've made a great start. Keep posting here. I had done multiply quits before this time, and this site and being part of this community is really taking me to new places and new levels of understanding about the work of the quit and the changes it can bring to lives. Secrets have a way...

Re: getting of the merry-go-ground of multiply quits

At the end of the day, its a road of feeling better. And if that includes AD for you, I have no right to critisize you for that. Its not a "less pure" road your on than I am on. Looking back at my own journey, its full of misstakes and things I would have done very differently if I was go...

Re: getting of the merry-go-ground of multiply quits

Hey everyone/anyone My basic question to you out there is how do you know when you are suffering unnecessarily? How do you know when it doesn't have to be like this- this daily misery dispite doing everything. I came off my anit D's about two months ago ( which I have been more on than off for the ...
