Re: 1 year PAWS - It's been a year since I quit

9MQ... First off, thank you for your very encouraging and uplifting response earlier. I really appreciate those words and compassion. In the end I know it can work out, but like a lot of us, it seems bleak at times. 9MQ and POMM... I can appreciate what your going through, for sure. Some days, or ev...

Re: 1 year PAWS - It's been a year since I quit

Hey keep up the good work! Sounds like your fighting the good fight. Having just passed one year on July 7th, I can tell you 100% or "Hundo P" as the kids says, is probably out of the question. Everything you described is still happening, but it ebbs and flows. I also smoked for 20 plus ye...

Re: 1 year PAWS - It's been a year since I quit

I'm approaching one year in about a week here. I was a daily user for over 20 years. I'm with you on the exercise and all the rest, but was curious about meditation. It's never really worked for me, but after hearing you say it took awhile , I'm reconsidering it. I've literally tried it a dozen time...

Re: 14 months sober and still fighting strong

Hey all, coming up on one year on July 7th. I've felt some minor improvement over the last few months, but it's still slow I think accepting the fact that there will be times when it feels like nothing is happening is very important. Also, even as things get better, accepting that it is likely going...

Re: 2 weeks clean of weed

Wow 3 years ! That's amazing...at 6 months exactly today. 7/7/20 was the last time I smoked. Still struggling a bit to be honest, but to be expected I suppose. Would you share some thoughts and experiences you had at this stage and the like?

Re: 7 months sober and brain fog

Hey tokes, Glad to hear that. I'm at 5 months and just had a serious accident at work because of these very issues. I quit for almost 8 months last year, then got right back to multiple daily smoking. Stopped for good on 7/7/20...it just seems to be worse than before. I smoked constantly for 20 plus...

Re: I’m new here

You don't think it's the baby? And then you ramble on with nonsense? You sound like someone with zero life experience and not a clue as to how anything works. You also sound fked up on some sort of chemical. Or just a troll, or perhaps both. Don't give people advice, you're terrible at it

Re: 27 months quit - i give up

Hey thanks for bringing it back around and thanks for the response 2YQ. You and many others really helped me through the first couple of months, just reading your experiences and realizing the gravity of this situation. I'm at 9 months clean as of Jan 4, 2019. Life has changed for the better in many...

Re: Farewell to weed - just the beginning

True story señor! Well the good news is that you're here again, even if after a 3 month tour. You took an afternoon cruise and ended up shipwrecked on cannabis island! Lol :D Oh well, it happens. I had 6 months, two different times before this one, and the same exact thing happened to me. It's almos...

Re: 5 weeks in...

It's going to be really tough for a while. I'm at almost 8 months and I'm still struggling quite a lot. Granted, progress is being made and I can feel it, but it's slow and spotty. Accept and embrace the discomfort, as it will be your new best friend for quite some time. Keep strong and stay focused...

Re: 27 months quit - i give up

Hey there 2YQ, thanks for checking in again. It's great to hear your progress and it is inspiring. I too was here almost daily for the first 3 or 4 months and I think be that's common, as that seems to be a critical time. I too have drifted in and out, but I also got a square job, albeit low paying,...

Re: 2 weeks clean of weed

Fantastic, great work. Very inspiring. I'm exactly half way to where you are. Five months on September 4. Struggling with brain issues and social functioning, and for some reason I can't fake my way through it nearly as well as before. Or maybe I'm seeing clearly that I never was, idk. Anyway lots o...

Re: 7 months clean from weed

Cali, you know a guy who has been doing pot for 50 years?! Wow. Yes I do. My father. Great guy, but mental illness is real thing and he still believes it's the answer, even though the anecdotal evidence of his life points to the contrary. Some demons we slay, some consume and devour us with no remo...
