Why on earth do you think you'd need Red Bull before hypnosis? I genuinely don't understand what your thinking process is ther. And why do you what to achieve this 'state' so badly? You say that it would be 'useful' for you, but useful for what? Kev gives some good advice in his post. Someone once d...

Perhaps you're in that state right now and in total denial and that's why you're stuck in it.

That was my initial thought too, however, I can't see who would benefit from this or who would want to orchestrate such a stunt in this way, or who would even have the opportunity to organise it. Can you remember any names from the piece? I know I can. And what might look like bad publicity to othe...

There's a hypnotist in the UK who regularly performs stunts like this. Most fellow hypnotists/therapists hate him for his 24/7 spamming of all of the different forums, etc. But I guess he takes the view that any publicity is good publicity. He certainly makes quite a reasonable living out of being a...

My view - which is shared and/or mocked by many others - is that hypnosis can theoretically enable your mind to instruct your body to do what it can naturally do. I don't think it can produce new limbs, but we know that hair colour can change due to shock and/or age. So, I'd completely expect hypnos...

Re: Recommendations Please

Hypnosis is one of the LEAST effective methods for giving up smoking. The person quitting has to actually want to quit. Hypnosis is effective only if that condition is true. Yep. It's the least effective method, after all the others. However, people come to me to deal with their smoking because no ...

I hardly ever use regression, because I just don't think it's necessary.

However, as a metaphor, it's a simple reframe. You are helping someone go back to an experience to learn an alternative perspective on it.

Sorry, I just noticed that you were looking for personal recommendations. I would very enthusiastically plug the second hypnotist, but I have a personal connection, so am perhaps biased. I travel down to Sussex half a dozen times a year, so could perhaps arrange to meet him on one of my visits. I wo...

I just found the following on Google:

http://www.hypnotherapy-sussex.co.uk/
http://www.sussexhypnotherapy.co.uk/

The first one seems to be based in East Sussex, with the second in West Sussex. However, I believe the second one can travel.

It might help to remember that there is no such 'thing' as a TDS. It's simply a phenomological description.

So, did you do a TDS?

That might be a more helpful question, but it's one that only you can really answer.

Re: Phobia cure

Blame isn't a relevant concept in this scenario, so it's no one's fault. Did you future-pace? Also, I try as hard as possible to bring the fear back when they're in my office. (If it's gonna come back anywhere it may as well be there.) The only other thing I do that you may not have done is really w...

You cannot get BACP accreditation through any 1 year course. Even after an accredited course, you need to spend some time in practice, see a certain number of clients, undergo supervision, etc... Chrysalis depends a lot on your tutor. The content is extremely basic. It is very focused on creating sc...
