Re: Benefits of being off weed

Wow. I love that this thread is still going strong. I’ve not been in Uncommon for at least 3-4 years I believe. Benefit: In my first two years of recovery, I was obsessively on UF looking for answers to my insane PAWS episodes. EVERY...SINGLE... DAY. Now I can barely remember what year I quit becaus...

Re: SUCCESS STORIES for our BOOK on PAWS

I went through a horrific PAWS period in which I was suicidal. Worst I’ve ever felt in my life. I’m now about 6-7 years recovered and have never felt better. I take Nortriptyline for the constant tension headaches that emerged after quitting marijuana. I have no more headaches and am more successful...

Re: 10 years clean!

Does this really get better? I'm almost at 10 months and the past two months have kind of felt like the beginning. Not as extreme thank God! But still pretty bad....I am trying to stay hopeful It only gets better if you are dedicated enough to make serious changes in your life. Many think if they j...

Re: 10 years clean!

Congratulations on your milestone. I am about 6 years or 7 clean now. So crazy that I dont keep track of it anymore, considering that I kept track of it by the minute in the early days. I was absolutely obsessed. I remember finding your post in a Google search, and that’s what lead me to this magnif...

Re: Salsa again

Man, Salsa, what a wild ride.

All I can say is hang in there. You returned to this forum because you need help and that is the first step to your recovery. Sounds like you should find and join a Narcotics Anonymous group in your area. Cocaine is nothing to be played with.

Be safe brother!

Re: Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS)

Hi Dhae, If I had known, while in my 10th month, that i would be feeling the way I do now, it would have made it ten times easier. But I didn’t and that was the blessing. It may sound a bit strange, but the only way I was ever going to make it out without relapsing was to endure pain and agony beyo...

Re: Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS)

I especially agree with the following from the article posted above - I've been pushing these two points for years:- "Go with the flow. Withdrawal symptoms are uncomfortable. But the more you resent them the worse they'll seem. You'll have lots of good days over the next two years. Enjoy them....

Re: Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS)

Hi olskoolru It's ages since I've been on here, but had an EM notification that this amazing thread is still active & helping people! How are you doing? It's a good few years since we were going through the worst of withdrawal. It'll be 6 years this month since I quit & it still feels good!...

Re: Post Acute Withdrawal Syndrome (PAWS)

This topic is one of the best if not the best of this site. I've lost count of how many times I've searched and opened this topic looking comfort for the moment I 'm living. This topic is complete, it talks about the symptoms of PAWS clearly, always reminding me that I am not an alien suffering for...

Re: Need serious help

Hi Koril, Unfortunately, you are still very early in your recovery. The good news is that it will get much much better as long as you don’t relapse. I’m about 5-6 years weed free and am feeling excellent. To the point that I don’t even keep track of every minute that passes wondering when I’d be fre...

Finally made it to 3 years

Hi everyone, I promised myself that for year 3, I would return to Uncommon and share my experience of making it to this milestone. I made it and I am alive and well. I can't remember the last time I thought about marijuana. If you've read any of my early posts, you'll realize that I had some of the ...
