Re: Should I give Tinder one more shot?

The cure to loneliness is not a dating app. Until you stop pushing people away, you will always be lonely. You can get a “quick fix” but it won’t last if you don’t address the underlying issue. Besides the gym, you can enroll in classes, join a club, volunteer, sign up for a coed sport, get a part ...

Re: Secret anorexic

Hi, I'm just wondering if there are any others who are suffering with an eating disorder. I've only realised that I am. Gradually over the last 2 years I've been reducing my food and abusing laxatives to lose weight. At present I only consume liquids and not food. I never thought I'd be like this. ...

Re: I guess I just need help

The primary treatment for bulimia often combines psychotherapy, antidepressants, and nutritional counseling and you shouldn't be feeling miserable about it.

It is helpful to find a psychologist or psychiatrist experienced in dealing with eating disorders. The same is true for nutritional counseling.

Re: I don't know what to do

While there’s no definitive answer to your concern, some obesity specialists say that depression and other mood disorders should be addressed before people do battle with the scale.

Remember that losing weight is hard enough when you're happy, but it's even harder when you're depressed.

Re: struggling with my imaginary self

It is safe to say that most of the great thinkers in history, had a lot of what you describing going on. Our internal dialogue is a major feature of our consciousness. Without imagination there would be no innovation. Everybody is doing it to some extend, introverts do not have a monopoly on it. But...

Re: Struggling to connect with people

Hi everyone. I find the most difficult part of PAWs is my struggle to connect to other people. I am essentially a social outcast now. I sense that I make others very uncomfortable when trying to converse with them. This was never an issue for me in the past. I was always confident and popular befor...

Re: Is It Possible To Stop An Addiction?

Things don’t immediately fall into place the moment you decided to get rid of addiction, the key is to have the patience and manage your expectations.

Re: Issue about therapy

That's good to know, but then once you feel like you are no longer in crisis you might still need a therapist that can help support you going forward. I highly recommend MindShift Psychological Services.

Re: Self Empowerment – Getting Out Of Our Own Way

Life can be really difficult, tragic, complicated, demanding and downright scary at times. We all have events and possible traumas of our pasts we’ve never begun healing from or found a way to face and overcome.

Re: Weird habit, any guesses on its origin/meaning?

I don't really know its meaning or its origin but I think we have the same habits. I am more into clicking joints, etc. and I keep a couple of things like solid rings. I used to have a a keychain Rubik cube, but then I got bored of that one.

Re: HOw do I recover from this and find myself again?

Minimize interactions by leaving the home as much as possible, example is by doing your work at the library or at a coffee shop.

Motivate yourself to work hard and improve your savings until you can move out.
