Re: Medication weightgain and depression.

Thanks for the reply.

I gave up smoking for 3 years and despite trying my weight didn't lower. So really i am asking: is there any point giving up smoking if you are obese regardless?

I blame the psychiatric medication!

Medication weightgain and depression.

Hi, I am 5ft8" and 17 stone giving me a BMI around 35 which makes me clinically obese which in turn doesn't help my depression which in turn helps makes me smoke a pack a day. In the news now they say obesity can be a bigger killer than smoking which hasn't helped. I can switch to a healthier a...

Re: Cannabis Harm Reduction

Ok each case is different i quit for roughly 3 years and i felt the same as you so eventually got put on medication to help - which it did in some ways and in other ways didn't just bringing other problems into the mix. Re: Cannabis Harm Reduction

I don't know what this means. I like the sound of it, but there's no actual information about harm reduction principles. Are we supposed to google it? If you have quit weed for over a few months or whatever and you are happy then stay quit. This is for people who can't quit and be happy. I can shar...

Cannabis Harm Reduction

What's your take on cannabis harm reduction? It seems to me that SOME people quit weed addiction and never really recover months/years down the line or in fact, ever. Like a switch has been flicked and no amount of abstination acts as reparation. Some report an ongoing "empty" feeling and ...

Re: Weed depersonalization cbd

I don't think those CBD drops from the Netherlands are good enough to treat medical problems, unfortunately. I probably have to wait 10 years to get CBD in the UK if it proves successful in further trials. I looked at getting it on the blackmarket from the US but i don't think i could get any consis...

Re: Weed depersonalization cbd

I'm not sure what i think about weed legal in the UK however cannabidiol (CBD) has been studied right up against the anti-psychotic medication i take with very positive results so i would like to try this and see if it works for me as there wouldn't be the side-effects i get off the anti-psychotic i...

Re: chewing tobacco adiction

If you can quit it then do. If you can't and you've given it a damn good try perhaps consider Swedish snus which is said to be as harmless as drinking coffee. Tobacco is said to be a performance enhancing drug which is why in smokeless form it's use in sports was considered for banning and why it is...

Re: OCD - anxiety and intrusive thoughts

Hello everyone, This is my first post and seeing as I have suffered with OCD for many years, I have decided that it might be a good idea to get advice from other people who might feel the same. I am currently getting CBT treatment which is helping no end, I would highly recommend it. However, betwe...

I'm sorry to read about the struggles you've been through Judith - it must have been hard. Yes cigarettes are very bad - a killer. I'm sorry if i have offended you at any point.

Re: My attempt at humor. You be the judge.

See what I mean? Quit NOW. Simple enough? So let me get this straight: you would rather someone not use this forum and let their addiction spiral out of control than use this forum and manage to use weed each month. Hmm... That's as bad as people who quit cigarettes then hate smoking more than some...
