Re: peeing with no privacy

I can't pee with no privacy. I try but I just can't. I.E. some men's bathrooms just do not have any privacy. I have the same problem. I pull it out and stand there trying to piss but it wont come out. I've found the solution though. I just shut off awareness of my surroundings and pretend I'm the o...

Do all the physiological changes accompany the altered state? For example if someone is triggered into a heroin state do their pupils shrink into pinheads?

Thanks a lot. I had put off learning that NLP technique thinking it was beyond the scope of the beginner but I'm gonna give it a shot now. My god it would be cool if I get this to work.

Hypnotically induced placebo effect

Heres an interesting experiment I wouldn't mind trying out myself when I become adept at hypnotizing myself and others. Hypnotically implant the belief that you or another person has taken a substance, preferably a mind altering substance as theres more than just a simple change in physiology involv...

I'm complete beginner, besides listening to a few youtube inductions I haven't tried to put myself in trance yet. I'm a serious spacer though and I think I slip into trance on a regular basis because my mind always wanders and when it does my vision blurs, I become extremely relaxed and I block out ...

I came across that thread before. Most of the people that replied there claimed to be able to do it but that doesn't look like an easy technique for a beginner to learn. Also is there even hypnotic trance involved in the drug of choice technique? I'd say it would work much better during trance.

An observation of mine may be of interest to you. When I stay up more than 3 days I notice my logic starts to become more fluid and dreamlike and thats when the hallucinations start. Thats when I notice all the little things I allowed into my belief system without ever questioning the validity of th...

Strange things anchored by songs you heard as a kid

Are there any songs that bring back strange memories and emotions that you only felt when you hadn't been in the world too long? One that triggers them in me is Enya - Orinoco Flow http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bsE_f89YZI&feature=fvst my god that brings back strange memories and feelings. Good...

Anchoring drug states

According to this abstract it can be done http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~db=all~content=a790230579 Has anyone here tried replicating drug states? Right now I'm prescribed dexedrine for ADHD but its a mixed bag because I usually end up redosing too late and end up sleeping only every second...

The reason given was that the subject needs to avoid the chair that their unconscious can see in order to maintain the conscious representation that the chair is not there. Bumping into it is what someone who is faking is likely to assume to be the result. Highly interesting stuff. This is a prime ...

Heres a lab study I find highly interesting http://www.informaworld.com/smpp/content~db=all~content=a790230579 not only did they manage to replicate the state people experience on heroin, they managed to replicate the withdrawal as well as reverse the effects of people actually on heroin. People go ...

The OP said he doesn't want to buy a book or DVD about something he isn't sure of yet so I don't think the replies so far were very helpful. Although you have to sift through a lot of advertisements masquerading as articles, you can find a good few free articles and ebooks on scribd.com. Right now I...

Where to start in learning self hypnosis?

I've read a lot of the theory on hypnosis but have yet to try an induction. I don't have the money to see a hypnotherapist to get a feel for the trance state and I don't really have anyone to practice with so I'm gonna just record my voice and play it back. Where would be a good place to start? I'm ...

But when you need a tool on a messy workbench and can't find it, you either search for it or get creative and invent a temporary substitute with other tools. So you are actually stimulating the mind either way. Very true. Living this way causes one to learn to improvise and use the bare minimum to ...
