Day 34

Day 34 off the weed here, and feeling pretty good. Finding I've got a lot more energy -- getting up in the mornings is way easier, and that I can remember things a lot better. I've started doing things I haven't done in years like seeing old friends and reading books. 8) The only hard thing is that ...

Thanks for the info... I remain skeptical as to the true figures in these kind of studies [although I think by and large they tell the truth, just an exaggerated version] but as someone who's actually suffered from psychosis it's good to see a link confirmed once again.

I don't think [somebody correct me if I'm wrong] that you can take those two drugs in conjunction with each other... I was weaned off the Mirttazapine before starting Citalopram. I'd strongly warn against doing so without consulting your doc. Mirtazapine didn't make me angry, it just didn't work for...

Re: The ongoing saga of Day 1's

My Day 28 turned into my Day 1. What would have been one full month clean, turned into a weekend binge. Sh*t. Hey TokinBabe , sorry to hear that. Try and not be too hard on yourself -- and try not to see this as a "failure" -- you now know a bit more about yourself and your triggers and t...

Hey there yartstar -- boy do I know all those feelings!

I'm on Day 26 now, and I can assure you it gets easier. My depression peaked about 10 days ago and I felt really dreadful then, but it's slowly been getting better.

We can do it, just one day at a time! 8)

Yup - I blew it - sigh .... We've all been there... don't think of it as a total failure. That's a bit harsh on yourself and isn't likely to motivate you to try again. Easier said than done, I know, but try and be kinder to yourself! I honestly see every attempt I've made to quit as part of a learn...

Im in the same position It's getting a little better every day. I find coming here and talking to folks who know what I'm going through really helps :) DAY 17 and today is OK. I'm going on holiday for a week tomorrow -- so if you don't hear from me I've not fallen off the wagon, I just won't have a...

Heh, exactly what Modus Ponens said.

Weed started out as a fun recreational activity and ended up sucking away three years of my life together with everything that made me "me".

Good luck to your friend!

Thanks for the advice, vodon ! 8) I'm now on day 16, and I got some good news -- the college course I applied for let me in! Of course, I applied about a month ago whilst I was blazing but I still think this is great -- it'll give me something to focus on and a reason to get up and be active, and ho...

Yep... like everyone else, I've started reading again. It's great actually being able to remember what happens and being able to follow the book coherently! 8)

I'll have to check out the Kiedis book, everyone who seems to mention it that I've seen always gives it a glowing review

Re: My quitting weed thread.

I could pretty much relate to your whole post, but especially: This week I have smoked daily and felt really groggy. I haven't exercised, the house is a mess, I haven't ate a decent meal, just cooked rubbish that was quick easy and convenient. My work hasnt been great, everything has just been done ...
