Re: conscious self sabotage

Maybe part of your self-sabotage is that when you begin to "completely **** it up" you turn towards scapegoating another person, e.g. mom. There is no where enough information for your to make that conclusion, putting "maybe" in front of this doesn't change anything. I assume yo...

Re: 39 Days clean of weed

I'm sorry to hear about the miscarriage, I can tell you that a friend of mine isolated himself with weed after he and his partner lost their dog, I'm not trying to compare the cases by any means, just saying that instead of being with his partner and grief, he just smoked all day, I don't know how ...

Re: 39 Days clean of weed

Well I told myself that there is really no reason for me to go back using weed if this is how my mind gets attached to it, someday I will need to stop for any reason and what? again withdrawal and PAWS? it's really not worth it. Seriously wise words. You said you are 25 well i'm early 30s now and s...

Re: Having trouble sleeping every nite.

Well done on 170 days! When do you exercise? I find if I exercise too late in the day my sleep can be really affected.

I find when I cannot sleep getting up and doing something until I am really tired can help. Nothing that using screens like TV, phone or PC but a crossword or some reading.

Re: Fed up.

I quit drinking when I was I was 23 and made it for over 5 years.. I relapsed in October 2019. I am so sorry to hear that. I am back here to quit cannabis (again ) but just over two years ago I quit alcohol and it was one of the best decisions of my life. My alcohol use was nothing like my ca...

Re: 39 Days clean of weed

Welcome imso3k! How are you getting on with quitting? I managed about 17 months when I was around your age and have been back using (vaping only) for the last 3 years of so, everyday. I am back here to try again and this time has to be final as I can SO SICK of this addiction. I feel like I am in wi...

Re: plans of actions for stressful situations

Weed withdrawal can take up to 12-18 month to fully reset. I am almost at 500 days (~16 months) and I still have days I think "ooo let's smoke a bong". That is to be expected but your mindset that you cant change it will always set you up to fail. I would argue that if you have any issues ...

Re: Quit journal

George, you are wise not to give in to your brain as for me at least alcohol has played a large part of my relaspes with weed. I just do stupid stuff when drunk and find drinking less and less often is very wise.

Hang in there and well done for your progress so far

Re: Finally giving up the habit

Hope you got that good night sleep!! In the early stages, sleep was a massive issue for me. I found that I was able to function when at working on sometimes the 2-3 hours I was getting and went with the mindset that being so tired would set me up for a much better night sleep the following evening. ...

Re: ready to give up giving up !

Well done on 2 months. Something I tried to do is really enjoy the moments where I feel ok and think "imagine this 24/7" then just bear with the low times. It is frustrating that the time of weed recovery is so long, but that is also the major incentive to not smoke again. After my 4th or ...

Re: Moving on with my life (quitting again!)

Thank you both for your lovely replies. Giving up nicotine has made me realise how short the withdrawal is compared to weed. I haven't been smoking/using nicotine spray for too long so probably a little easier for me but preciously in life smoked cigs a fair bit. im 2 months without smoking weed, so...

Re: Moving on with my life (quitting again!)

Day 9 - No nicotine Feel a whole lot better now. Appetite is settling down and mood is stabilising. So happy to be done with nicotine and went out last night and didn't get tempted to smoke at all and just drank water. Love going to the pub and sometimes not drinking, think it is very important to ...

Re: Here we go again...

Yea the sleep gets better over time. I had a daytime nap today and never used to be able to just drift off to sleep unless I was super high. Find exercise was good (hard cardio like running) and then evening I would sleep better, not always though. I also use melanin (1mg timed release) which helps ...
