Just posting to help others know that you can do it, and come through the other side of PAWS due to weed abuse. I used for almost 27 years. The last 5 was daily. It was a solid year before I was able to function somewhat normal again and another year to get back to 100% Nothing helped except time, d...

Re: 8 Months - First Post

I’m at 1.5 years. Sleep is better now. Took about 1.2 years. First try magnesium then melatonin then doxepin then trazadone last. I wouldn’t go beyond that if you can avoid it. I believe at some point it become a mental game too. Your fear of sleep is keeping you from sleeping. Best to try and estab...

Re: 2 years down the drain and starting again

Wow that sucks. I know the feeling. I'm in Toronto and when all the shops started popping up like 5 years ago is when I started hitting it hard. High grade pure THC indica. This is when I totally became dependant on weed and developed physical and emotional issues. I'm 12 months clean and PAWS kicke...

Re: 12 Months.... What a disappointment

I have days when I feel tired of all of this too, but then another happy day comes and I'm motivated again. I do have to admit this is true. My insomnia is not all the time. It seems I can sleep fine for weeks or months and then for no reason I can't. The last few times it's been 1.5 months of terr...

12 Months.... What a disappointment

WTF happened to my life?? I was pretty happy before I quit. But weed begun to turn against me after starting to use daily. Angry, emotional, compulsive, unmotivated, social anxiety and strange uncontrolled sweating. It took me almost 5 years to get the giant hint from my body and mind. Last year I d...

Re: Marijuana

You do love weed more than your wife. You are a text book addict in denial.

Get off weed for 12 months and this statement will hit you like a ton of bricks.

Re: I need help

Don’t take Benadryl or any over the counter sleep aids. I found they just make me feel like sh** and awake.

I found natural sleep aids better like melatonin, tea, CBD or ltheanine

Or ask your dr for low dose doxepin or Trazodone. I found both helpful on the really bad days.

Re: I need help

Hang in there. I know how you feel. I’ve been there. It will pass. Once it does. Hit the gym and a sauna. Then practice some quiet breathing before bed. Then read a book for as long as you can. You won’t die from lack of sleep. You can still get sh** done on no sleep. Your body will crash eventually...

Re: Three weeks smoke free but feeling worse

My Advice is to get ready for the battle of your life. I’m at 8 months clean after quitting weed and nicotine cold turkey. Both 25 year habits on and off. For me things got really bad after 30 days and stayed that way until 6 months. I’m only now starting living some kind of regular life but still d...

Welcome back PAWS

7 months clean today. 60 days of bliss. Welcome back PAWS, I was wondering where you’ve been hiding. 48 hours with 0 sleep. A ball in my throat. Cried a bit in the shower to hide from the wife and kids. Not tired at all. Afraid I’ll never sleep again and die. Welcome back old friend... hope you ****...

Re: Weed Withdrawal pls help

Celebrating 7 months today. Paws has returned for a visit just to stick it to me after feeling like this might be all over. I’m asking myself all of the same questions as I sit here now having not slept for 48 hours. And asking when suffering will end. I had to get a new passport photo the other day...

Re: Nearly 9 months weed free update

Hey Owen. You’re not alone. I’m having another wave of paws the last week. Going on 2 days 0 sleep. Been sleeping like normal for at least 8 weeks. Then bam! Total insomnia. I was feeling so good I had a boys night out and got wasted on beers. Didn’t sleep at all. It’s been downhill ever since. Mayb...
