Re: Quitting weed for the second time

Hey guys just wanted to follow up on this. After I made the post I went to my ju jitsu class and had a great workout and immediately felt wayyy better. I feel good today too, better socially and no anxiety or anything like that. I thinking keeping away from cannabis and quitting coffee/energy drinks...

Quitting weed for the second time

Hey everybody. I used to post on this forum back in around 2016 - 2017, and had a good ~18 months of zero weed consumption. I was seeing pretty steady improvement and then ended up dating a girl who smoked, and being the imperfect creature I am, I ended up smoking along with her. That was about two ...

Re: Dropping the ball after a year+ clean

Thank you Richard and quietvoice. These days there are more pharmaceuticals and recreational drugs and chemically altered foods than ever before, so I guess it's on each one of us to make sure we are aware of what we are putting in our bodies. That being said, all these addications are chemical and ...

Dropping the ball after a year+ clean

Hey guys, I haven't posted in a while but I quit smoking weed initially in around March of 2016 I think, and got to something like 14 months sober and I think I did see a bit of improvement, but honestly I had a huge boost in my mental well-being when I went on a light dose of Lexapro after 5 months...

Re: Is this depression / what should I do?

Yeah LondonScouse I totally feel the same way. Like I am trying to stay positive but my emotions just aren't naturally there like they seem to be for other people. Like I watch my coworkers joke with eachother and have a real laugh and feel that there's a bond there, but when I laugh I'm forcing it ...

Is this depression / what should I do?

Hey guys, I will try to keep this post short. Basically I have felt depressed on and off for the last several years I would say. I am about 30 and of course, when I was younger, like in my 20's I would feel happiness for no apparent reason and just be in a good mood from time to time. Nowadays I am ...

Re: Am I sick??

It's good that you are being honest about how you feel. If that was your first sexual experience then of course it's going to affect you for your entire life. I remember my first experience and I bet most people would, especially if it was something as dramatic as what you went through. Have you tri...

Re: Is our society with fiction dangerous ?

Re: Is our society with fiction dangerous ?

Sunyata your philosophy sounds a lot like the Hindu idea of Brahman. According to the Vedic belief system, Brahman is the underlying essence of all things. There is a form of Buddhism has related concept called Purusha--which is like the light that shines on all things, and Prakriti, which is like t...

Binged on weed and benzos after a year and a half clean

Hey everybody. It's been a while and things have been going pretty well to be honest. I quit weed about 18 months ago, and benzodiazepines shortly after that. I was working on quitting coffee (I drink a lot of it to help me get through school in a demanding field) and never was really able to quit i...

Re: 13 months off cannabis and i feel in danger of a relaps

Hey swim, Im with wave on this one. Quitting weed helps a lot but it will not fix everything. I think we have to make an effort every single day to work on ourselves, like our fitness and diet and doing the things we care about and being good to other people. I am at 16 months and just quit coffee t...

Re: Why is quitting coffee so difficult?

Day 17 Feeling much better... I felt pretty depressed the first couple weeks and also some mild anxiety. I also cheated on my diet a few times but have not drank coffee since over two weeks ago. I have tea everyday, although it only amounts to maybe 50mg per day compared to around 140 mg per cup of ...

Re: Why is quitting coffee so difficult?

Day 12 I think today was day 12 of no coffee. This is the farthest I've made it since I started drinking coffee at maybe around 16 or 17. I have better energy in the morning and seem to wake up way easier. I am much less impulsive and feel less rushed and more at peace. I also feel brain fogged som...
