Hi Helen,

I know your post is quite a few months ago but I've been away for a while.

I don't think the hypnosis caused the fit but equally I don't see the point in taking that particular risk. I think Jon Chase taught us to exclude epileptics when we took his stage hypnosis masterclass. I don't beleive it did either. Jon also mentions this case in his book 'Deeper and Deeper'

Re: "No volunteers with epilepsy"

I've been told it's just to prevent them blaming you if something happens Even if your volunteer has had a dodgy piece of chicken tarka from his regular curry haunt, you'll be held accountable for the devastation in his bathroom the following morning! Be prepared and get enough info in your pretalk...

I live in Scarborough, where tattoo parlours are ten a penny. You can't walk down the street without somebody waving a needle gun at you here. :) Similar to where I live, in Kent, except it's broken bottles  In my experience those with tattoos and peircings have made good hypnotees. I tend to ...

To get them to 'go' into trance seems to be the easier part, keeping them there and utilising it is the tricky part in my opinion. Craig's right... if you've done a 'set piece' (mag fingers, mag hands etc) you have a kind of trance, well 'hypnosis' anyway, 'Trance' is too subjective here on the foru...
