Re: Trying to support a partner after being pushed away.

Hi birdiewordie, I'm speaking as someone who's done this 'push/pull' with partners, due to my emotional issues. My advice to you would be the same as others, it is best to leave him be and for you to get on with your life. I'm not saying this isn't painful, it is absolutely. He is in great pain and ...

Hi, Richard I think I misinterpreted you, sorry. In your first response to OP, I thought you were questionning why the poster was focussing so much on the errors "Are you paying too much money?". This isn't really what you were saying. Crashnikova-thanks for your response. My therapist did...

Hi crashnicova, With reference to your first post, I've also felt something similar in individual therapy. I've never had group therapy, but in my instance my therapist wouldn't take responsibilty for her "errors/slip ups", whatever you want to call them. Sometimes she would and that was g...

I can understand your confusion. It must feel very difficult for you. However, I'm coming from the viewpoint of your 'ex-girlfriend'. I was in 2 relationships from age 15-22, with no break. When I was single at 22 I didn't want to meet a potential boyfriend. I felt I'd missed out on 'growing up' yea...

Hi moona, you wanted to know if other people had experienced this kind of experience? So that you don't feel so alone, well, I'm another one who has. It wasn't exactly the same as yours. "Darron" seems a bit more forceful about sex than my exboyfriend was. However, he did want a lot of sex...

Others will think differently, but I think your wife's behaviour is unacceptable Third parties are also affirming this. I was only with my boyfriend for 1 year and our sex life was extremely passionate so it wasn't that. I just think some people seek an inordinate amout of sexual attention. I think ...

Hi tommyjones, Like candid, I also think you're the person who's posted about this problem before. I was tempted to reply then, as I've experienced something in 1 of my previous relationships. I know people glance at attractive people when they're out in public, but my exboyfriend would stare intens...

Hi pacific, I can relate to some of what you're sharing.I don't know much about the condition you've been diagnosed with, though. You want to know if the attachment you're feeling to your therapist is 'right'/productive? I think many people do experience what you're experiencing now. I did. I think ...

Hi carlinfan, I feel compelled to respond to your post because I had the beginnings of a personal breakdown when I approached my 27 th birthday. I do think this age is a turning point in people's lives or what they perceive that to be. No longer "young" to party-that isn't frowned upon by ...

Hi stella, sorry I've not been in touch before now. I've just been feeling really tired and emotionally drained with it all. It was perfectly fine for you to look after your own needs & reply when you felt you wanted to. On the 'up' side, I've felt better after addressing my real feelings. Other...

Well, you had me concerned that you weren't on any meds so glad you have found the combination that works best for you. i've thought of changing mine-it works OK for me emotionally at the moment, But 1 of the side effects is weight gain. Which I don't like obviously. I know, I almost feel embarrasse...
