It's pretty good possible that there are numerous people who can't be motivated because they hate winning. If people don't win, again and again and again than they finally start to hate it to win. They will like it to be a loser. They have to be a loser. This is changing someones mind-set in many wa...

So adapting the idea that quitting is allowing myself to die would associate feelings of never giving up? I am still wondering about self-efficacy as well. And you should keep in mind how these negations work that Jargan means. you say: un-beatable willpower, no quit, un-quitting, these words actua...

From my recollection with talking with those kinds of guys is that they have mastered their subconscious without all the theory and technology behind it. And you (and others here) claim that willpower is not natural. So if they have learned it or understood it, it must be done one way or another. W...

If people only do the fun things, the things that gives the greatest comfort, necessary things things to achieve the goal you set, if people only do that they fail. I formulated this a little unclear probably. (it was not to please Julius :) ) What is intended is this: If people only do the fun thi...

What do you mean by fallacious? there are numerous fallacies. The reason stand-up comedians are so succesful is because they use a lot of fallacies for their funny plots. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallacy @hardlife37 The real reason of course is that the most Muslims seem to take their religion ...

There's strong evidence that religion is actually a fallacious way of thinking.

It's an interesting subject you're bringing in. My idea is that there is space for developing affirmations to do create more willpower. I wonder if there's a book with NLP patterns which create another strong willpower mind-set ? I have tried to find one online but without any succes. I think for cr...

I know that theory Julius. It's common in therapy circles but it has also a big disadvantage. Actually I'm raised with that idea and I think it works, but there is also another point of view. Using words that give a more committed load to your mind should change one's attitude. In a semantic way you...

People with a mental disorder simply lack willpower. No one in the entire therapy branche seems to really get that. That's kinda thing to be alert at. People act for 4 reasons 1) goal rational (zwecksrationalität ) 2) value rational acting 3) traditional actions 4) affective actions (this theory is ...

Can people have a hidden value

My question to you is whether peope can have a hidden value in their mindset or not. Something you're not aware but that makes you do things that twart yourself.

Or wouldn't it be called a value then anymore?

The hidden value I found in myself is unstrained / negligent / laid-back.
