Hey! Yeah, you know your story isn't so uncommon. It certainly sounds like a fairly typical case of CFS/fibro - any psychological and/or physical stress (esp. a bad virus) can trigger that... If it's your body causing you to feel like that, then it's natural you'd be concerned about your health - un...

Hi everyone - I dont know if anyone from 2005 still posts of this chat - I remember when it started! You beat me to it ;) It's a common symptom of magensium deficiency. About 15-20% of the population are thought to be very low on magenesium... Blood tests aren't much use, although red blood cell magnesium testing is better than nothing (serum mg tests won't tell you much)... Being low on mg basical...

One further bit of advice... Don't sit on it, wait for it to get better or take med's to deal with it! Also avoid deep breathing exercises: yoga, tai chi, etc. like the plague - they provide light short-term relief, but make the problem worse... Also, remember, it's not an illness or disease, it's j...

Hey :) It's not anxiety per se, it's hyperventilation syndrome . A slight tendancy to breathe too deeply or too fast, which becomes a habit following any prolonged stress, from anxiety to infections, being too hot, over-eating, etc. as well as magnesium deficiency. The reason you can't inhale deeply...

I was just going to add, I started the hypoglycemic diet about 3 years ago, and will always stick with it... Although I allow myself more carbs these days as my body's recovered the ability to deal with carbs gradually - although I'd never advise anyone to continue with the high sugar, high carb wes...

Obtrustive/disturbing thoughts are a common manifestation of obsessive compulsive disorder... Which is maybe best thought of as a coping mechanism for general anxiety, but obviously can become a primary problem in itself... All obsessive compuslive behaviours are a deliberate distraction ... Not dangerous at all! Most people would just say "I've got real bad indigestion" - probably lie down if it was too comfortable, and then forget all about it! I've got friends who get this every other day - they might have hiatus hernias themselves. One book I read suggested 80% of the popu...
