Did you peak at a ridiculously early age?

https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20181204022802AAFCElN One might see this edgy question I asked and think I'm an angry edgelord with no conscience, and that would be half-right, the first part being the right one and the second one being wrong. I only think like this because I peaked whe...

Re: It has been two years since this happened...

...Now, it's happened again. I actually don't care about this rejection anymore, but um, there was a similar-but-different sitch that just happened. On this one forum, I developed an addiction to this one forum and by extension, this one guy from there, neither of whom were all that nice to me. To b...

Why do I feel so fake?

Admittedly, stuff has been going good lately and I've developed some good coping mechanisms, but I guess it feels unnatural and fake to not be constantly going over drama in my head. Oh, and I guess I just have a low tolerance for fakeness because I used to be so fake because I thought that was the ...

Re: Do you regret being in denial?

Like I said, at least when this thread was new, I at least had the excuse of having no one to talk to. But now, I don't. I always get socially anxious and then I get all angry that I have no one to talk to, and then I'd cry and get angry about my past and use it as a scapegoat, kinda like the comic ...

When nothing seems to work...

...Should I just wait it out? If nothing could accelerate my recovery from a very specific obsession, should I just wait until it magically goes away? It's not like I'll obsess about it forever, after all.

Re: Do you regret being in denial?

Only 'cause I have no social life, and therefore no closure and proof that people are not like the people from my past. I believe that if the first two or so years of my trauma still happened, but if I had never learned how to go in denial and my peers from 2012-2016 were as nice as I assumed they ...

Re: Do you regret being in denial?

Update: I now have a social life, but I feel like it's really structured and boring, and therefore not exactly closure-inducing. Like, I'm no longer a NEET, but my social life only consists of small talk. I miss when I had people to talk to about my interests, even though back then, it consisted of...

Re: Do you wonder if some things were caused by your dark pa

Like, I know all about stereotypical things that traumatized people do, and I could see some of them in myself, but I'm wondering if even seemingly unrelated things were caused by my trauma.

Re: Do you wonder if some things were caused by your dark pa

For example, I'm wondering about when I was younger and I was a flasher on various chat sites. I remember that I practically had to numb my conscience to do it, and I wonder if the traumas that taught me how to numb extreme feelings had something to do with it.

Re: Do you wonder if some things were caused by your dark pa

Like, some things were more obviously connected to my traumas, and I know so because I totally remember my internal monologue, but other things are less clear.

Do you wonder if some things were caused by your dark past?

I'm wondering if even mistakes seemingly unrelated to my traumas were caused by them. I mean, the old me was bad at holding in stress, and to an extent, it was a negative thing, but my traumas caused me to like, learn how to hold in stress, and by that, I don't mean healthy stress management, I mean...
