Michael, although I haven't posted much - often because I just don't know what to say - I have been following your thread. You say that with your gender issues, it would be so helpful to talk to someone who knows what you're going through. Today I've been talking with someone on another forum who al...

Hypnotherapy and Parkinson's Disease

Hi everyone, I posted this under hypnosis, but then thought it might be better placed here! Sorry for the duplication. "I just wondered whether anyone has used hypnotherapy with a client suffering from Parkinson's Disease? What did you do with them and how did it help? Naturally stress and anxi...

Hypnotherapy and Parkinson's Disease

Hi everyone, I just wondered whether anyone has used hypnotherapy with a client suffering from Parkinson's Disease? What did you do with them and how did it help? Naturally stress and anxiety reduction will help - as it will help 90% of the general population  - but I just wondered if anyone ha...

Hi Lah, As for other bad consequences as a result of hypnosis...as hypnotists you might say we depend on that for business. Phobias, for example, are the result of hypnosis. Clearly though, this is an example of natural hypnosis. Hi Gonzo, I know what you are trying to say, but this statement could...

Hi Someone, I HAD a fear of wasps and bees, ever since I was 11 years old, but no more! And yes, as much as I hated them I would get upset if someone killed a wasp. I still have a healthy respect for them but I don't hyperventilate, panic or run screaming any longer. The quickest and easiest way to ...

I do not have an axe to grind here, but am very concerned about how things are unfolding and what it is doing to an otherwise very helpful and happy site. Coach, please don't take it personally that I have quoted from your post, it's just you are the one that has written the most here and I do think...

Well, as has already been said, either you need to find someone who finds your mode of dress acceptable or stop wearing skirts. As for it being more acceptable for women to wear mens clothes than vice versa, that isn't always the case - there are still people who frown on women wearing trousers even...

I've used the downloads to great success, as have others on this forum. However, by their nature they are quite general so if the issue you want to deal with is complex then you may find it more useful to have a 1:1 with a hypnotherapist.

Re: 4th Appointment

Hi Michael, I don't know if you really wanted answers to your questions or whether they were hypothetical, but here are my answers. Question: if you found yourself in company who mannerism's, comments, or anything else you found objectionable would you stay in their company or would you find elsewhe...

Hi Claire, So you're going through the stress of moving, having to clean the old place, having a dad who tries to dump his problems on you, all on top of the year you've had - and now you're being really hard on yourself? I'm gonna say what someone once said to me - "Hey girl, who'd you think you ar...

Hi Claire, I'm fine. I'm glad the move went well - it's always such a stressful time. And of course, once you've moved everything out you see what the furniture and the shadows of winter have been hiding. Hope the cleaning doesn't drag on toooo long! Let us know how you get on with the 5-htp. Take c...

Hi Changing, Good luck with the packing! I have used 5-HTP, I didn't use for depression but for mood stabilising - it was recommended by my clinical nutritionist to help me through the final mood swings that can be a symptom of anti-depressant withdrawal. I had no problems with them and found them t...

As ever I am pretty much evenly split between visual and kinesthetic. How can I be evenly split over 5 questions, I hear you ask! Well, on one question I found the V and the K of equal ranking, I really couldn't split them, so I guess it's Visual 2.5, Kinesthetic 2.5! Funnily enough, I'm working wit...

Karen, your parents couldn't love you because THEY weren't good enough, not you - THEY are the ones with a problem, just like it's my mum and dad that have the problem, not me. I was simply born, and even that is their fault, not mine. As Megan implies, you can beat yourself up with their inadequaci...

Hi Siobhan, It could also be that her unconscious mind is able to do the work although her conscious mind doesn't think there's anything happening. I had a client for a VK for phobia - she said that although she was relaxed she didn't feel like she was in a trance yet when I asked her how long she'd...
