Some good answers here. Two other things to consider: first, since he is a friend of yours it might be more difficult for him to accept that you are a hypnotist, especially since you are just starting out. Second, if he says he doesn't believe in hypnosis, he might actually be actively resisting you...

Almost any induction that doesn't involve touching the client should work. It's a little difficult to see them testing eyelock during the Elman induction but you can work around that. Just before you start the induction you should tell them that if they hear the Skype "dropped call" music ...

Irresponsible spending

I've got a client who has problems with spending. I don't know if it's compulsive spending or just being frivolous and not paying close enough attention to his finances. He makes good money and wants to put away money for a house. I was thinking a parts reframe to deal with whatever secondary gain h...

Lots and lots of positive changes -- I used to be a negative, pessimistic person and now I am the opposite. I'm working on making stage hypnosis a career, so that's pretty big. You're never at a loss for something interesting to talk about (people are nearly always curious about hypnosis) and demons...

Hypno-survival

This is directed to Anthony and Kev: While listening to the early segments of Ripped Apart, Ant briefly mentions "hypno-survival" or the idea of being dropped penniless into an urban area and surviving for a time on your hypnotic skills alone. Was this an actual experiment, and if so, how ...

It's not necessary to have a good understanding NLP to use the six-step/parts reframe, although it certainly helps. It can be very effective with smoking cessation, and you can research it relatively easily here and elsewhere. By doing some research (and rehearsal) ahead of time you will be giving y...

I finally got a chance to test the techniques last night. Produced hand-sticks, arm-lock and some other phenomena in people at the karaoke pub. Didn't try for any heavy hitting stuff like invisibility, but the results were very encouraging. Oddly enough, two women, when asked what hypnotic phenomeno...

Hello all. I ordered Ripped Apart after listening to a podcast in which Anthony Jacquin talked about it. He mentioned in the podcast that he was one of those hypnotists who had had trouble hallucinating hypnotically, and this resonated with me as I am one of those as well. Ant noted that with the AI...

I got the pre-order set recently and it is an awesome product for those wishing to learn how to do impromptu hypnosis. One of the more valuable aspects of this set, as mentioned on other boards, is that Anthony and company are not afraid to show themselves NOT getting the phenomena they want initial...
